Washington will allocate another $ 400 million package of military assistance to Ukraine, the US Department of Defense has announced. TASS writes about this.

It is specified that, among other things, Kiev will receive four HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) complexes mounted on a wheeled chassis, ammunition for them and artillery shells. According to the Pentagon, the new aid package includes, among other things, one thousand shells for 155 mm artillery, three tactical vehicles, explosive charges, counter-battery warfare systems, spare parts for military equipment.

The US department clarified that the total number of HIMARS MLRS provided to Kiev has reached 12. At the same time, the total amount of US military assistance provided to Ukraine amounted to $ 7.3 billion since the beginning of Russia’s military special operation.

Earlier, a Pentagon representative spoke about the supply of NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) to Ukraine. The official noted that there is no exact delivery date yet. At the same time, he expressed the opinion that “it is a matter of several months.”
